The New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, Inc. (NETAAC) offers help for manufacturers struggling against imports.

NETAAC has over 25 years of experience in assisting New England manufacturers retain jobs, expand sales and increase profitability.

Financial assistance is provided to eligible New England manufacturers through cost-shared consulting projects. This assistance program covers such tasks as marketing/sales strategies, e-commerce, lean manufacturing and ISO registration.  (Please see our Types of Projects page for a detailed listing.)

If these questions sound familiar, you may be eligible for this assistance program:

Is your industry affected by imports? Have you experienced sales and/or production declines? Have you reduced your workforce or anticipate a reduction in workers?

Funding is provided to NETAAC through the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) for Firms program, administered by the Economic Development Administration under the U.S. Department of Commerce.

This assistance program has proven results in helping many U.S. manufacturers offset the adverse effects of foreign competition as demonstrated by the independent study and subsequent report from The Urban Institute, November 1998.
