Success Story #2:
New England Forest Products

NETAAC Qualification

New England Forest Products, Inc. of Greenfield, New Hampshire had been producing native-grown, high-quality lumber products for hardwood stairs and stair parts, flooring, siding, and finished moldings. A record-breaking building recession, coupled with the cheaper cost of imported “building material options,” left the company facing employee layoff in order financially survive an extended period of dwindling sales.

NETAAC Assistance

NETAAC Grant funding was secured and used to subsidize the cost of initiatives that expanded market share and increased company productivity. These initiatives included engineering support to bring efficiencies to their manufacturing process, and also marketing support that expanded company awareness through development of an improved website.

“The NETAAC staff was extremely helpful, and brought us through the process painlessly. We were able to hire a marketing person and engineer…went from facing a layoff to being able to hire additional full-time staff. NETAAC is a gift — was a saving grace for us!”

—Deb Buxton, Co-Founder, New England Forest Products, Inc.
